Kings Lodge’s fundamental values are to maintain and promote the individuals independence and choice. Our person-centred approach to Nursing Care allows us to ensure these values are achieved.

Dementia Care
At Kings Lodge we have developed a specifically designed dementia community as part of our innovative dementia care service.
Our dementia community has been specifically designed to offer the best care for individuals living with dementia, with a special mural created called ‘Memory Lane’.
This includes a succession of pictures from the past including bright colourful images of old shops, running all the way through its main corridor and access area.
Resources such as these are perfectly designed to bring out the strengths and personalities of our residents living with dementia to ensure they are receiving the highest quality specialised care within comfortable, engaging and interactive surroundings.

Respite Care
Everyone deserves some ‘me’ time. If you are caring for someone and need some time for yourself to recharge your batteries, or you’d like a little extra support yourself following a period of illness, taking a break from your usual routine is essential to help maintain your own general health and wellbeing.
We provide respite, or short stay care, for those who do not require long term care. Depending on the individual’s needs, a short stay could range from a few days to a few weeks. Our respite residents often return time and again once they have experienced life at Kings Lodge.
Individuals have also chosen to make their Kings Lodge their permanent home following their Respite experiences.
Respite Care may be suitable for various reasons and can be beneficial whether it has been planned or due to unexpected circumstances.

Residential Care
Residential Care is provided at Kings Lodge for those individuals who wish to remain as independent as possible in their everyday life, safe in the knowledge that there is 24 hour care and support available should they require it. Residential Care provides the opportunity and flexibility for the individual to have their own private time and space, or socialise with other residents when they choose to.
Residential Care includes assisting the person with activities of daily living for example assistance with personal hygiene, dietary requirements, mobility, elimination, and social interaction. This helps our residents to maintain their independence, self- esteem, and self- worth to achieve the quality of life they desire.
At Kings Lodge we minimise as much as possible the unnecessary stress and worry from growing older, replacing it with new friendships, fun, great food and fine wine. Old age should not be a barrier to enjoying life to the full, creating new memories and friendships to cherish along the way.
